Ropes and rigging are small and do not interfere with other work taking place on the site. Scaffolding and swing stages can be an eye sore, specially if they are on structures in public view. There is also the risk of trespassers and vandals. Rope access can be easily stored up for the night and quickly put in place again the following day. When the job is finished all of the access equipment can be off the site in a matter of hours.
